Optional Shipping Insurance
We offer shipping Insurance for our customers' convenience. Simply Insurance protects against lost, stolen, or damaged shipments that the merchant or shipping carrier wouldn't typically cover. The claims process is easy; fees start at $2 per order. Totally Optional. Highly Recommended.
In what states is tax charged?
The tax rate and laws vary depending on the state we ship to. The following states will be charged tax when placing orders on CoastHemp: SC.
Can I modify my order after it has been placed?
If you’ve placed an order and want to modify the items or shipping address, please call our Customer Care team at 888-433-4223.
If the order has not shipped, we may be able to modify the order. You must follow our return/exchange process if the order has shipped.
Lost or Damaged Packages
If the shipping carrier reports your package lost in transit or damaged, we will provide a replacement and file a claim with the shipper.
If your package is shown as delivered by the carrier, but you did not receive it.
- You purchased optional shipping insurance. At our discretion, we will do our best to provide you with a replacement or refund for loss or damage.
- You declined shipping insurance. We can generally replace damaged or broken items. However, we typically cannot provide a replacement or refund for packages reported delivered by the carrier.
- We do our best to reduce the risk of package diversion by shipping items in plain envelopes or boxes. The shipping labels do not identify CoastalHemp as the shipper.
- According to a poll conducted by C+R Research, one in seven Americans reported being a victim of package theft in 2022. We highly recommend purchasing the optional shipping insurance at checkout.
Simply Insurance - Protect Yourself from Lost or Damaged Deliveries
- Adding shipping insurance to your order is an easy way to provide extra protection for your package. If the shipper reports your package lost or damaged, we will reship the order regardless of the insurance purchase.
- However, for other delivery issues, such as packages that may have been mis-delivered or stolen, we cannot offer a refund or replacement unless the optional delivery insurance has been purchased.
Simply Insurance will cover one claim per customer in twelve months.
Item Never Arrived (Lost in Transit):
What should I do if my package is marked “Delivered” but I didn’t receive it?
If you can't locate your package, don't worry! Most items turn up within three days. Here are some steps to try:
1 - Verify your shipping address.
Please check that your shipping address is correct. Your current address is "Deliver To:" on the My Orders page.
2 - Search around your home or building and check with neighbors.
Look in other areas, such as backdoors, behind bushes, or at the address next door. Sometimes, packages are left in unexpected places.
3 - Give it three days.
Occasionally, carriers mistakenly scan packages as "Delivered" even if they are still in transit. If this happens, give it three days, as your package may arrive within that time despite the false scan.
While we can help you track your order if you contact us before the three-day window, we cannot process a resolution until after three business days have passed. Please wait before contacting us about a missing package.
4 - Check your mailbox or other mail-receiving locations.
Carriers may handle small packages differently, especially if they can fit inside your mailbox.
5 - Look for a notice of attempted delivery.
If a carrier attempted delivery but you were unavailable, they might have left a notice with instructions on receiving your package.
6 - Check for a Photo Proof of Delivery.
For FedEx deliveries, you can check for a Photo Proof of Delivery by clicking on your FedEx tracking number link.
How can I contact the carrier regarding the missing package?
To contact the carrier and initiate a claim:
Retrieve your tracking number.
FedEx delivery: Either click the FedEx tracking number on the Track Your Order page or enter your FedEx order tracking number on fedex.com. You can also call 1-800-463-3339.
